Job summary

The GIANT Company in Hagerstown, MD is seeking a hands-on cleaning associate to maintain office spaces, restrooms, break rooms and store areas. You will clean floors, remove trash, operate cleaning equipment, and ensure spills are promptly handled to keep facilities hygienic.

Shift requirements include minimum 4-hour blocks; ergonomic and physical readiness is essential. This role contributes to a safe, welcoming environment for customers and team members across our Maryland locations.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English for job duties and safety rules.
• Ability to meet ergonomic and physical requirements, with or without accommodations.
• Must learn to use equipment and tools used for cleaning tasks.
• Must complete the company introductory probation period (30 or 60 days).
• Must meet performance standards including regular attendance.
• Must wear proper assigned clothes and shoes for the job.

Responsibilities

• Review work schedule and prepare equipment and supplies at shift start.
• Clean and vacuum floors in offices and conference spaces.
• Clean and mop tile floors in restrooms and break areas.
• Remove trash, operate compactor and bailer, clean spills in the store, and use a power washer for sidewalks.
• Dust and wash surfaces; wash mirrors, glass, floors, and equipment in break rooms and restrooms.
• Resupply items as needed; designate hazardous floor conditions with cones.
