Job summary

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Facilities Civil Engineer to provide civil engineering expertise for design, construction, and upkeep of site infrastructure. You will collaborate with the Facilities Engineering team to deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities include designing civil drawings and calculations, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams, inspecting sites, and ensuring regulatory compliance. A Secret clearance or higher is required or feasible.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Civil Engineering (ABET-accredited).
• ≥2 years civil-engineering practice; facilities/industrial background preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Secret (or higher) security clearance.
• Licensure: EIT or PE preferred or attainable within 2 years.

Responsibilities

• Design & analysis: create/review civil drawings, calculations, specs (AutoCAD Civil3D, MicroStation, GIS).
• Project coordination with structural, mechanical, electrical, environmental and construction teams.
• Infrastructure oversight: pavement, utilities, condition assessments; plan preventive maintenance.
• Construction support: inspect sites, monitor contractors, manage submittals, punch lists.
• Permitting and compliance with standards (NPDES, storm-water, wetlands; OSHA, EPA, TxDOT).
• Cost and schedule tracking: estimate scopes, take-offs, monitor budgets, report variances.
• Documentation: write technical reports and maintain document control.
• Continuous improvement: suggest design upgrades and sustainable practices.
