Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club in Torrington, CT is seeking a Maintenance Associate to help keep the club clean, safe and welcoming for members and teammates. You will perform general maintenance, cleaning duties, and manage carts and equipment to ensure ready access and a positive shopping experience.

This role emphasizes safety, reliability and a team-focused attitude. You may need to complete required training and certification; prior maintenance or janitorial experience is preferred, and age

Qualifications

Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
Maintenance or janitorial experience preferred.
Retail/wholesale experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides members with prompt and courteous service and maintains high standards of safety and sanitation.
Maintains cleanliness of all club areas including sales floor, offices, restrooms and outdoor grounds.
Gathers and returns carts/flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance; removes trash and debris.
Ensures carts are stocked and in working order; performs minor repairs as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned and supports club policies and safety procedures.
