Job summary

BJ's Wholesale Club is seeking a Maintenance/Janitorial team member dedicated to keeping the club clean, safe and welcoming for members and teammates. Responsibilities include cleaning duties, mopping, trash removal, and keeping parking lot areas orderly.

You will gather and return carts, restock supplies, and perform routine building upkeep while following established safety standards and club policies. Regular attendance is essential.

Qualifications

• Must successfully complete required training and certification processes.
• Prior maintenance or janitorial experience preferred, but not required.
• Prior retail/wholesale experience preferred.
• May be less than 18 years of age to perform parking lot cart functions. Must be over 18 to operate equipment and enter age restricted areas.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous service and maintain high safety and sanitation standards for members and team members.
• Maintain cleanliness of all areas including sales floor, offices, restrooms and outdoor grounds.
• Gathers and returns carts and flatbeds from the parking lot to the club entrance.
• Ensures carts are well-stocked and in working order; remove unusable carts.
• Performs routine cleaning duties including mopping, sweeping, vacuuming and trash removal.
• Maintain outdoor grounds and signage; ensure club policies are followed.
