Job summary

Davenport Energy in Chatham, VA is seeking a dependable Part-Time Janitor/Maintenance Technician to keep our facility clean, safe, and well‑functioning. The role offers flexible hours and opportunities to take on additional shifts based on business needs.

You will clean restrooms and offices, perform basic repairs, replace lights and air filters, manage supplies, and ensure safety procedures are followed. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and work independently with strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial or maintenance experience preferred but not required.
• Basic knowledge of hand tools and general building maintenance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and good time management.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, offices, common areas, and other facility spaces
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and empty trash
• Perform basic building maintenance and minor repairs
• Replace light bulbs, air filters, and other routine maintenance items
• Monitor building for maintenance needs and report issues
• Maintain outdoor areas, including light landscaping and litter removal as needed
• Ensure cleaning supplies and maintenance equipment are organized and stocked
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
