Job summary

Monroe Community College is seeking a full-time Custodian to perform routine cleaning and semi-skilled repair tasks in a public building. The role reports to a Head Custodian and may involve supervising lower-level staff.

Salary starts at $39,763.24 with potential increases after 6 months, and MCC offers a flexible work policy. Qualifications include eighth grade completion and one year of related cleaning experience; preferred bilingual ability (Spanish) and willingness to obtain a NYS vehicle

Qualifications

• Completion of eighth grade plus one year of paid full-time or its part-time equivalent experience in building cleaning work.
• Ability to obtain a valid NYS motor vehicle operator's license or demonstrate transportation capacity if required.

Responsibilities

• Sweeps, mops, washes, dusts and cleans.
• Vacuums carpets and furniture; empties waste containers; replaces supplies.
• Operates cleaning and maintenance equipment; performs minor repairs.
