Job summary

Alivio Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Aide to perform routine cleaning and general maintenance across the facility in Chicago, IL. The role includes responding to maintenance needs, light bulb changes, and ground/area upkeep during clinical hours.

Applicants should be able to read and follow instructions, identify hazards, and work with minimal supervision. A valid Illinois driver’s license may be required.

Qualifications

• Literacy and basic math skills required to read and understand work instructions.
• Ability to read and follow instructions and utilize good judgment in mitigating hazardous situations.
• Valid Illinois driver’s license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform prescribed cleaning routines of assigned facilities according to schedule.
• Empty trash and change light bulbs as part of routine maintenance.
• Monitor public spaces during clinical hours and respond to maintenance needs.
• Identify and address safety hazards (slip, trip, fall, electrical).
• Wash, clean, and store tools and equipment after shift.
