Job summary

Stewart & Stevenson is seeking a Manufacturing Facilities Specialist in Houston, TX. The role supports day-to-day facilities operations, coordinates vendors, and oversees preventive maintenance and CAPEX project evaluation.

You will work with operations, supply chain, finance, and site leadership to maintain compliance, controll costs, and ensure timely project delivery. The position emphasizes independent judgment in vendor selection, scope and quote evaluation, and escalation when needed,

Qualifications

• Five+ years in facilities operations, maintenance coordination or admin support.
• Ability to organize service requests, quotes, invoices, and records with accuracy.
• Working knowledge of CMMS, work order tracking and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Strong analytical, financial, and reporting skills for CAPEX decisions.
• Excellent communication between internal teams, vendors, and site leadership.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate facility service needs and manage vendors within delegated authority.
• Source vendors, develop scopes, quotes, and manage onsite work; verify completion.
• Set vendor performance expectations and monitor quality, cost, safety, and compliance.
• Manage preventive maintenance programs and facility projects.
• Develop and adjust preventive maintenance plans based on asset condition and risk.
• Evaluate CAPEX needs, develop budgets, schedules, and risk assessments; manage projects.
