Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and a 2-year trade certificate required.
• Minimum four years in building/construction trades including plumbing, electrical, mechanical, and HVAC maintenance.
• Experience in facilities repair, service and maintenance is required.
• Ability to read plans and blueprints; knowledge of safety and codes.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic to moderate building maintenance and repairs at City facilities.
• Install, maintain, and repair basic mechanical and electrical systems including HVAC.
• Oversee vendor/contractors and manage contracts and costs.
• Develop maintenance schedules, forecasts, and reporting; ensure safety and compliance.
• Maintain records, purchase orders, and time sheets; assist budgeting.
• Coordinate with supervisors and work collaboratively with staff.
