Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems across plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling components. The role emphasizes preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and energy efficiency within a complex facility environment.

You will support operations by inspecting systems, applying standard procedures, and coaching team members while aligning with CBRE RISE values. This position requires physical tasks and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred. Licenses as may be required by local/state jurisdictions.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs+ and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and numerical abilities for calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems to keep facilities up to standard.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives related to building operations.
• Maintain an energy management program to improve system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Review building systems such as fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing for design compliance.
