Job summary

Monroe Community College is seeking an Associate Vice President, Facilities, to lead the division responsible for planning, maintenance, and lifecycle management of MCC’s physical space, infrastructure and utilities.

The AVP will direct Facilities Operations including energy management, custodial, capital planning, and safety programs, while collaborating with campus stakeholders to advance MCC’s mission and strategic goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline and at least five years of related professional experience.
• Minimum of five years of progressive administrative experience leading facilities operations in a complex, multi-unit higher education environment.
• Experience collaborating with community, government, and public sector agencies.
• Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to build partnerships with diverse faculty, staff, and students.
• Ability to integrate data into decision-making to promote effective practices and policies.

Responsibilities

• Directs planning, maintenance, and lifecycle analysis for facilities, spaces, infrastructure and utilities.
• Leads Facilities Operations: energy management, custodial, capital planning, safety, and sustainability.
• Develops and enforces policies, procedures and regulatory compliance.
• Manages budget authority and administrative approvals for the facilities division.
• Fosters staff development and cross-college collaboration to support student engagement and success.
• Plans CIP projects and coordinates with college departments, county, and vendors.
