Job summary

The N.C. Department of Information Technology is seeking a Housekeeper (NS) to maintain cleanliness and sanitation across designated office spaces in North Carolina. The role is statutory exempt (EHRA) and exempt from the State Human Resources Act.

Responsibilities

Performs routine cleaning of assigned office areas, including workspaces, hallways, lobbies, conference rooms, common areas, and other designated spaces.
Empties waste and recycling containers and replaces liners as needed.
Replenish, clean, and sanitize restrooms.
Follows established safety, security, infection-control, and workplace procedures while performing assigned duties.
Secures work areas and follows building access and security procedures when working in occupied or unoccupied areas.
Performs periodic or special cleaning assignments such as detailed floor cleaning, high-traffic area cleaning, interior glass cleaning, furniture cleaning, and preparation or cleanup associated with meetings, conferences, special events, or changes in facility use.
Performs other related housekeeping duties as assigned.
