Job summary

Bellwether Housing in Seattle seeks a Facilities Associate to join The Flourish and Rose Street Apartments, delivering essential upkeep for affordable housing residents.

You will perform routine cleaning, groundskeeping, and light maintenance to ensure safe, welcoming environments, partnering with the facilities team and reporting to the Site Manager. On-site schedule Monday–Friday, 8:00 am–4:00 pm, with final times set by supervision.

Qualifications

• Willingness and aptitude to learn basic cleaning and maintenance skills.
• One year of prior custodial experience in a residential setting or two years in a public/private facility.
• Ability to complete strenuous work and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and operate power tools safely.
• High school diploma or GED or equivalent education or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean building common areas and grounds.
• Clean and prepare apartment units for rental.
• Complete rounds of the property and perform cleaning tasks as needed.
• Learn and complete routine general maintenance requests in building and apartment units.
• Track supplies and report replenishment needs to supervisor.
• Assist maintenance staff with seasonal tasks and safety.
• Attend scheduled team meetings and participate in inspections.
• Refer resident concerns to the Site Manager and Maintenance Manager.
