Job summary

Bellwether Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Rise on Madison Apartments in Seattle. On-site, 8:30 am–5:00 pm, Saturday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Sunday, you’ll perform groundskeeping, janitorial, painting, preventive maintenance, and routine/emergency repairs to keep 250 units across a 17-story complex in top condition.

The role requires a valid WA driver’s license, at least 1 year in property management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and

Qualifications

• Valid Washington State driver’s license with adequate auto insurance and clean driving record.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in property management or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ability to perform strenuous work.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and safely operate power tools.
• Willingness to travel to Bellwether properties as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, groundskeeping, janitorial, painting, and preventive maintenance.
• Coordinate with Property Manager on work orders and unit turns; report repairs.
• Maintain tenant confidentiality and adhere to fair housing guidelines.
• Prepare vacant units for re-rent and coordinate with vendors or other staff.
• Document actions, inventory parts, and communicate supply needs to managers.
• Inspect plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure safe operation.
• Assist with process improvements and represent Bellwether Housing professionally.
• May perform pest management duties and work non-traditional schedules as required.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
