Job summary

Scheels Lincoln location is hiring a full-time cleaner to maintain a clean, safe store environment in Lincoln, NE. You will perform janitorial tasks including sweeping, mopping, window cleaning, and restroom sanitation, with opportunities to support deep-clean projects on evenings and weekends.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–3 months of experience, with typical hours around 6:30am–4pm, Monday–Friday, plus additional evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Vacuum, mop, sweep, clean, and empty waste baskets.
• Clean windows and doors.
• Restock cleaning supplies and restroom items.
• Operate commercial cleaning equipment.
• Answer and respond to phone calls regarding spills, wet floors, and general clean-up.
• Pick up trash in the parking lot and around the store exterior.
• Sanitation of facility restrooms and fixtures.
• Report needed repairs to supervisor (e.g., leaky faucets, toilets, broken fixtures).
• Maintain attention to detail to ensure property looks as Scheels expects.

Education & Experience

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and or 1-3 months of experience

Schedule

This is a Full Time position, typically scheduled 40 hours per week between the hours of 6:30am-4pm Monday-Friday but must be available on evenings and weekends for projects and scheduled deep-cleaning.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
