AMS Fulfillment in Provo, UT is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to support our warehouse operations. Under supervision you will perform building and grounds upkeep, assist in mechanical, electrical, and general repairs, and help manage maintenance workflows to keep production schedules on track.

The role requires safe handling of tools, willingness to obtain forklift certification, and strong written and verbal communication to coordinate with management and contractors.

Qualificações

• Experience in facilities maintenance or related construction trades preferred.
• Willing to become forklift certified (drug test prior to employment).
• Mechanical abilities and comfort with heights up to 60 feet.
• Safe use of hand and power tools; strong written and verbal communication.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in repairs to AMS facilities (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc.).
• Escort contractors and skilled laborers as needed.
• Troubleshoot and adjust furnishings and equipment.
• Fill in with general warehouse work as needed.
• Reset storage racking as required.
• Drive company vehicles as assigned.

Job Details

Job Location: UT 3855 Tracy Hall Parkway - Provo, UT 84606, Position Type: Full Time, Salary Range: $16.56 - $22.51 Hourly, Job Shift: Any

Job Summary

Responsibilities under supervision include performing building and grounds maintenance. Timely communication with management is crucial. Responsible for assisting in all areas of operations including the oversight, approval and planning process of Receiving, Shipping, Pick and Pack, Order Verification, Returns and staffing (including temporary labor) to ensure compliance with production schedules and to enforce company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist in performing mechanical, electrical, and general (plumbing, painting, carpentry, concrete patching, etc.) repairs to AMS' facilities
• Escorts contractors and skilled laborers where necessary
• Troubleshoots and performs adjustments and/or repairs of furnishings and equipment
• Fills in with general warehouse work as needed
• Resetting storage racking as needed
• Drives company vehicles as assigned
• Other duties as assigned

Nonessential Functions

• Non-essential functions are the additional duties
• Function is incidental or a minimal part of the job
• Marginal functions can be redistributed among other staff

Job Specifications – includes Education, physical and mental demands, and working conditions

• Experience in facilities maintenance or comparable construction trade a plus, but not required
• Willing and able to become forklift certified (this requires drug testing prior to employment payed for by AMS)
• Mechanical abilities
• Comfortable with heights up to 60 feet
• Safe use and understanding of a variety of hand and power tools
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Strong work ethic. Demonstrates initiative
• Willing to work under different working conditions such as exposure to water, dust, grease, paint fumes, chemicals, and equipment noise and vibration with knowledge of the proper PPE
• Reliable transportation with a clean driving record Provide Form MVR from the Department of Motor Vehicles

Working Conditions

This job operates in a warehouse environment. This role routinely is a standing/walking role that uses standard janitorial/custodial equipment such as broom, vacuum, mop, various cleaners, etc.
