Job Summary: the Facilities Associate will be responsible for performing routine building maintenance tasks, including carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), and plumbing. Our ideal candidate is experienced, reliable, and capable of managing multiple maintenance tasks.
Pay: $23/hour
Supervisory Responsibilities: None
Schedule: 7am-6pm, Monday – Friday, overtime varies based on business needs
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Perform routine building maintenance tasks in one or more fields (e.g. carpentry, electrical, heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, etc.).
- Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
- Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
- Develop and maintain inspection logs and report all issues to the Management.
- Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
- Perform general upkeep tasks and repair work.
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:- Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems.
- Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Safe working habits

- Collaboration Skills and Flexibility adapting to change
Education and Experience:- Related certifications are preferred
- 3 years of experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and other maintenance tasks.
Physical Requirements:- Very Heavy work: Lifting and carrying for a short distance up to 50 pounds constantly on your own & up to 100 pounds via team lift frequently during an 11-hour shift.
- Standing: To remain on one’s feet in an upright position without moving about during an 11-hour shift with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break.
- Walking: Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly for long distances or moving from one work site to another.
- Stooping: Bending the body forward and down while bending the spine at the waist 45 degrees or more either over something below waist level or down towards an object on or near the ground.
- Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Hearing: Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication and make fine discriminations in sound.
- Vision: The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of work.
- Temperature: The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions, but, must be able to adapt to cold or hot temperatures.
Working Conditions:- Air-Conditioned Warehouse and Manufacturing environment.
- This position requires standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks doing heavy lifting.
- The work environment may involve exposure to loud noises, chemicals, and machinery.
