Job summary

The Bangor YMCA is seeking a Facilities Associate to support the upkeep and maintenance of the Camp G. Peirce Webber facilities, grounds and vehicles.

You will play a supporting role in maintaining the Bangor YMCA's main facility and contribute to a safe, well-maintained environment. The role requires 3+ years of maintenance experience and knowledge across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry areas.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in facility maintenance.
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry.
• Flexible, able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overall direction and upkeep, preventative maintenance, of Camp G. Peirce Webber facilities and vehicles.
• Support upkeep of the Bangor YMCA main facility.
• Adapt to a flexible schedule; Sunday through Thursday after training.

Upcoming Holiday Hours: We will be closed Monday (9/7) in observance of Labor Day. Fall hours will begin Tuesday (9/8): Mon. -Fri., 5 am – 9 pm; Sat. & Sun., 6:30 am – 6 pm

The Facilities Associate is responsible for assisting with overall direction supporting the regular upkeep and maintenance, standard and preventative, of the Camp G. Peirce Webber facilities, grounds and vehicles and will play a supporting role in the upkeep of the main Bangor YMCA facility.

We need someone with 3 plus years of experience in facility maintenance. Someone with a working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, carpentry, and other maintenance-related areas.Our Facilities Associates need to be flexible, able to work independently as well as part of a team. Must have a friendly demeanor and a can-do attitude.

On the job training will take place Monday through Friday and when training is over the regular work schedule will be Sunday through Thursday.
