Job summary

Educational Institution is seeking a Facilities Assistant II to support maintenance and safety of campus facilities. You will assist with upkeep of interior, exterior, rental and hotel properties, and coordinate with teams during relocations.

The role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and a proactive approach. On-call hours including one weekend day are expected, with a varied shift schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Minimum one year working in a team environment.
• Minimum one year working in a maintenance-related role.
• Ability to work on-call hours, including one weekend day and non-traditional hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities supporting the upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of university facilities, including interior, exterior, rental, and hotel properties.
• Support office relocations, furniture moves, and setup to ensure smooth transitions and functional spaces.
• Manage and track repair tickets across multiple platforms, assisting with minor repairs or maintenance as needed.
• Perform tasks requiring specialty mechanical equipment such as ladders, lifts, and power washers to maintain facility standards.
• Conduct regular building walk-throughs to identify and address maintenance or safety issues proactively.
