Job summary

The Facilities Assistant I at the University of Michigan – Ross School of Business supports daily operations and maintenance of facilities on campus in Ann Arbor. This on-site role covers cleaning, basic maintenance tasks, and logistical support for classrooms and events, reporting to the Building Manager.

Work schedules include evenings or daytime shifts with potential weekend work; a shift premium applies for qualifying evening shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience.
• Minimum one year working in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the Ross facilities to provide a safe, welcoming environment.
• Assist with event setup, room reservations, and furniture moves for campus activities.
• Support basic operations and respond to safety, security, and emergency needs.
