LifeSouth Community Blood Centers in Mobile, AL is seeking a Facilities and Supplies Specialist who thrives in a team environment and is goal-oriented. You’ll handle daily cleaning and maintenance of the facility and grounds, coordinate ordering, receiving and expensing of supplies, and monitor vendor work to ensure quality and proper billing.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, and the ability to operate floor care machines and read safety manuals.

Qualifications

• Experience with facility cleaning and maintenance preferred.
• Ability to multitask and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Inspect facility and grounds daily for cleanliness and safety.
• Make repair and maintenance recommendations to Regional Manager.
• Coordinate and monitor vendor work and ensure proper billing.
• Coordinate ordering, receiving and expensing activities.
• Prepare weekly/monthly inventory counts and reconcile inventory.
• Prepare supplies for blood drives.
• Inspect vehicles and perform cleaning as needed.

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, and goal-driven, individual to join the team as a Facilities and Supplies Specialist in Mobile, AL. This position is responsible for activities related to the daily cleaning and maintenance of the facility and grounds as well as ordering, receiving and expensing supplies.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to)

• Inspect company facility and grounds daily to ensure cleanliness and safety of all areas
• Make repair and maintenance recommendations to the Regional Manager
• Coordinate and monitor vendor work at the facility, ensuring all work performed by the vendor is properly completed and appropriately billed
• Coordinate the ordering, receiving and expensing activities of the district
• Prepare weekly and monthly inventory counts to reconcile inventory in the region
• Prepare supplies needed for blood drives
• Perform inspection of vehicles and provide cleaning as needed

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver's license. Must also meet and maintain LifeSouth driver's eligibility requirements
• Ability to use various floor care machines and other electronic equipment necessary to facilitate daily cleaning and maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
• Interact professionally with all customers, both external and internal
• Ability to multitask and prioritize
• Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
• Two years of facilities experience preferred
• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred
• Knowledge of building and grounds maintenance, including the daily and overall upkeep of all assigned areas preferred
