LifeSouth Community Blood Centers, Inc. seeks a dedicated Facilities and Inventory Specialist in Jacksonville, FL. You will help keep facilities clean, safe, and well‑maintained while ensuring supplies and equipment support daily operations and community blood drives.

The role requires strong organization, independent work, and a team‑oriented attitude to ensure smooth operations and reliable service to our donors and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet driver eligibility.
• Ability to operate floor care machines and cleaning equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily facility inspections to ensure a clean, safe environment.
• Assist with routine cleaning and general maintenance of the facility.
• Identify maintenance/repair needs and report to management.
• Coordinate with vendors to ensure work is completed properly.
• Inspect and clean company vehicles as needed.
• Coordinate ordering, receiving, and distribution of supplies for district operations.
• Prepare and organize supplies for community blood drives.
• Conduct weekly/monthly inventory counts to maintain accurate records.
• Track and reconcile inventory to ensure availability.
• Maintain organized storage and supply areas.

LifeSouth Community Blood Centers is looking for a dependable, organized, and hands‑on individual to join our team as a Facilities and Inventory Specialist in Jacksonville, FL. In this role, you\'ll help keep our facilities clean, safe, and well‑maintained while ensuring our team has the supplies and equipment needed to support daily operations and community blood drives.

What You\'ll Do

• Perform daily inspections of the facility and grounds to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.
• Assist with routine cleaning, upkeep, and general maintenance of the facility.
• Identify maintenance and repair needs and communicate recommendations to management.
• Coordinate with outside vendors to ensure maintenance and repair work is completed properly.
• Inspect and clean company vehicles as needed.
• Coordinate the ordering, receiving, and distribution of supplies for district operations.
• Prepare and organize supplies needed for community blood drives.
• Conduct weekly and monthly inventory counts to maintain accurate records.
• Track and reconcile inventory to ensure supplies are accounted for and readily available.
• Help maintain organized storage and supply areas.

What We\'re Looking For

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid \"driver\"\'s license and ability to meet LifeSouth\'s driver eligibility requirements.
• Ability to operate floor care machines and equipment used in facility cleaning and maintenance.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines, equipment instructions, and established procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Effective communication skills and a commitment to providing excellent service to internal and external customers.
• A dependable, team‑oriented attitude and willingness to assist wherever needed.

Preferred, but Not Required

• Two years of experience in facilities maintenance, building services, inventory management, or a related field.
• Knowledge of general building and grounds maintenance.
• Commercial Driver\'s License (CDL).
