Job summary

Shiel Sexton Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations for exterior façade installations, including metal panel systems and cladding.

You will oversee mobilization through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence on commercial building projects in Indiana. This role requires strong leadership, coordination with general contractors, trades, and vendors, plus the ability to interpret drawings, manage crews, and drive project goals while

Qualifications

• 5+ years in commercial construction, architectural metal panel installation, or building envelope trades.
• Experience managing field operations on complex commercial/institutional projects.
• Strong understanding of exterior building envelope systems.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and shop drawings.
• Experience coordinating with general contractors, steel erectors, glazing, and waterproofing trades.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Construction Management degree or equivalent field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate all field operations from project startup through closeout.
• Develop work plans, sequencing strategies, and site logistics to maximize productivity and maintain schedule.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and site safety requirements.
• Coordinate field crews, subcontractors, equipment operators, vendors, and material suppliers.
• Collaborate with general contractors, owners, architects, engineers, and other trade partners.
• Review shop drawings, architecture drawings, specs, and installation details to plan work and resolve issues.
• Manage façade and exterior enclosure installation and ensure quality control.
