Job summary

Roundy’s Supermarkets, Inc. in Madison, WI seeks an experienced maintenance plumber to service stores with a focus on plumbing repairs, water heater work, and preventive maintenance. You will work in a team-driven, fast-paced retail environment and support store operations with dependable scheduling.

The role requires good communication, detail orientation, and the ability to adapt to shifting priorities, including nights, weekends and holidays. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• General plumbing experience in food retail or commercial facilities.
• Ability to lift at least 25 lbs.

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
• Strong PC skills including Windows XP, MS Excel and MS Outlook.
• Ability to travel independently with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for cleaning drains, valve repair/replacements and installing commercial water heaters.
• Submit accurate time reporting and vehicle inventory via company programs.
• Perform preventive maintenance at stores at least twice per year.
• Ensure maintenance expenses meet annual budgetary guidelines.
• Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Essential Job Functions

• Ensure maintenance expense (by Account Code) in assigned stores meet annual budgetary guidelines.
