Job summary

Blood Assurance is seeking a dedicated Metal Fabricator in Chattanooga, TN. You will read blueprints, lay out metals, and operate fabrication machines to shape and assemble components for our Mobile Shop.

The role requires precise welding (MIG/TIG/Stick) and a strong focus on safety and quality. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED with technical training in welding or industrial technology and 1–2 years of related apprenticeship or certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; technical welding or industrial training preferred.
• Completion of 1-2 year relevant apprenticeship or certification.
• Strong reading of blueprints and fabrication drawings essential.
• Experience with MIG, TIG, and Stick welding advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprint specifications.
• Layout, measure and mark metals per blueprints.
• Set up and operate fabrication machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, and bend metal.
• Assemble and tack-weld parts to form complete units or subunits.
• Ensure equipment meets safety and regulatory standards.
• Inspect finished workpieces for conformity to specifications.
• Repair, sharpen and clean tools and equipment.
• Fabricate parts and weld using MIG, TIG, and Stick welders.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
