Shift Availability

We are hiring for both first and second shift.

First Shift: Monday through Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm with occasional overtime on Friday's.

Second Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:30pm - 2:00am with occasional overtime on Friday's. Second shift includes a $1.50/hr. shift premium.

Position Summary

Our company is looking for a highly talented Fabricator/Welder to join our team. The Fabricator/Welder plays a crucial role in the manufacturing process, responsible for fabricating and welding metal components and structures according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. This role requires a skilled professional with expertise in metal fabrication techniques, welding processes, and equipment operation. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, including proficiency in welding procedures and metalworking tools, along with a commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork in a manufacturing environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
  • Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
  • Set up components for welding according to specifications (i.e., cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
  • Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
  • Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
  • Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead)
  • Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gaps
  • Test and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flaws
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent certification
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a welder
  • Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (TIG, MMA etc.)
  • Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)
  • Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.) Must have own face-shield
  • 5S is a plus
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and designs
  • Successful completion of a relevant apprenticeship program is required
  • Professional Certification (i.e., an AWS welding certificate) will be a plus

Physical Demands

  • Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms, hands, fingers, legs and moving your whole body, such as lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, handling of materials, and operating machinery.
  • Perform repetitive motions using your hands and fingers such as, but not limited to, grasping, gripping, and holding.
  • Carrying & lifting 10 – 50lbs. frequently
