SUMMARY: Welds metal components using arc and gas welding equipment. Fabricates equipment after purchase, performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following; other duties may be assigned.

• Welds metal parts using gas welding, brazing, and arc welding processes, including thermal cutting and grinding.
• Repairs broken or cracked parts, fills holes, and enlarges metal parts.
• Positions and clamps components for welding.
• Maintains all casino equipment.
• Fabricates new harrows and floats; repairs starting gates, dump trucks, loaders, graders, and small vehicles.
• Performs mechanical work on dump trucks and water trucks.
• Completes body work and painting of equipment and vehicles.
• Operates heavy equipment when necessary.

• Minimum 3 years of welding experience.
• Ability to read and understand simple instructions, correspondence, and memos; capable of writing simple correspondence.
• Effective in presenting information one-on-one and in small groups to customers, clients, and colleagues.
• Capable of calculating figures such as discounts, interest, and proportions; applying basic algebra and geometry.
• Able to understand and follow detailed instructions; handle problems with a few concrete variables.
• Must qualify for the Pennsylvania State Racing Commission license.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Physical demands include frequent use of hands, standing, reaching, talking, hearing, occasional walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, crawling, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
