Job summary

Banner Fire Equipment, Inc. in Roxana, IL is seeking an experienced Fabricator to upfit and build new fire and rescue apparatus.

You will weld aluminum with MIG and TIG, read blueprints, install electrical systems, and mount pumps, tanks, and equipment according to build plans. We’re looking for hands-on fabricators with 3+ years of fabrication experience, MIG/TIG aluminum welding skills, and 12V electrical wiring know-how.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; welding/fabrication training preferred.
• 3+ years fabrication experience in emergency vehicles or upfitting preferred.
• MIG and TIG welding on aluminum required; steel fabrication experience a plus.
• Hands-on 12V/DC electrical experience with wiring, lighting, chargers, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read blueprints and build specs and work independently through multi-step builds.
• Must provide basic personal hand tools; welding certification and OSHA safety training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate, assemble, and upfit new fire and rescue apparatus per build specs.
• MIG and TIG weld aluminum and steel for body components and mounts.
• Run, route, and terminate 12V wiring for lighting, chargers, and control circuits.
• Install mounted equipment (pumps, tanks, reels, shelves, accessories).
• Read blueprints and build sheets; coordinate with service managers on scope.
• Inspect, test, and document work for quality and safety compliance.
