Midwest Fire Equipment & Repair is seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator for full-time work in our Minnesota facility. You will weld aluminum and light steel, read blueprints, and assemble fire apparatus components using brakes, shears, plasma cutters, and machining tools.

The role requires 2+ years welding experience and a two-year welding certification. Expect a safety-focused, employee-owned team with competitive wages and regular day shifts.

Qualifications

• Two-year welding certification or equivalent hands-on training.
• Minimum two years of experience in welding and fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and weld symbols with accuracy.
• English written and verbal communication proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum and light steel components.
• Read blueprints and fabrication drawings to ensure quality.
• Fabricate and modify parts using shop equipment and tools.
• Inspect dimensions with measuring tools and maintain quality.
• Maintain and safely operate welding equipment and shop machines.
• Support material handling and production duties as needed.
