Wastequip is seeking a Fabricator for our New Salisbury, NC steel manufacturing operation. This full-time role offers health insurance, 401K, paid vacation, and more. You will fabricate steel parts using various machines, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specs.

Shifts run 7:00AM to 3:30PM, Monday through Friday, with an hourly pay of $21.37. Prior experience with press brakes or shears and basic CNC understanding are preferred; you should be comfortable in a fast-paced production

Formación

• Prior experience operating a Press Brake and/or Shear; set up experience a plus.
• Understanding of basic CNC controls.
• 1+ years prior production experience preferred.
• Able to read blue prints and measuring tape.
• Basic math and problem solving skills (add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure).
• Experienced in a fast paced production environment.
• Able to pass all EHS required tests and clearances.

Responsabilidades

• Fabricate steel and other metal parts as indicated by the work order and blue prints.
• Operate a Press Brake and/or Shear.
• Turn handwheels to adjust rake (angle) and pressure of blade.
• Position and clamp stops and side guides to set length and angle of cut.
• Lift workpiece manually or by hoist or crane to machine bed or roller table and position it against side guide and end stops.
• Start machine, which clamps workpiece and lowers blade to cut metal.
• Lay out cutting lines on metal when shearing single pieces.
• Tilt bed, blade, or install fixtures to shear, bevel, or trim fabricated items.
• Operate portable shear to cut sheet metal.
• Inspect work to verify dimensions.
