Job summary

Kingfisher Recruiting is seeking a Fabricator – Machine Operator in Harlan, Iowa. The role requires setting up, adjusting and operating fabrication equipment to produce metal components according to blueprints and work orders.

You will read parts drawings, use calipers and micrometers, maintain safety and quality records, and support continuous production. Welding experience is a plus but not required, and strong math and communication skills are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, diligence, and time management skills.
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, rollers, punch presses, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and other fabrication machinery.
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gages, and height gages.
• Practice the highest degree of safety when performing essential duties of his position.
• Read and interpret parts drawings, process routings, and production requirement information.
