Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Fabricator – Machine Operator for our client in Harlan, Iowa to set up, adjust, and operate fabrication equipment to produce metal components according to blueprints, specifications, and work orders.

This role emphasizes safety, quality records, and accurate production documentation. Experience reading drawings and using measurement tools is preferred, along with strong attention to safety and reliability in a team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, or 1-2 years of experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills including dimensions, quantities, metric conversions, algebra, and geometry.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, diligence, and time management.
• Welding experience is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate fabrication equipment, including press brakes, rollers, punch presses, sanders, drills, grinders, shears, saws, and other fabrication machinery.
• Utilize measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, rules, squares, angle gages, and height gages.
• Practice the highest degree of safety when performing essential duties of his position.
• Read and interpret parts drawings, process routings, and production requirement information.
