Job summary

SPI is seeking a Fabricator in Solon, Ohio to operate band saws and other equipment for fabricating fiberglass, mineral wool, and related insulation products. The role emphasizes safety, accurate measurement, and maintaining high-quality workmanship in a manufacturing environment.

This safety-sensitive position requires 18+ years old, possible respirator certification, and forklift operation. Local travel is <10% with competitive benefits and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Experience and/or training in a manufacturing/fabrication/warehouse environment preferred.
• Able to be medically certified to wear respirator if required.
• Driver's license if operating a vehicle for company purposes.

Your Responsibilities

As a Fabricator, you will operate a band saw, and other types of saws, to custom fabricate fiberglass, mineral wool, perlite, and many other types of specialized insulation.

• Safely and efficiently operate appropriate equipment.
• Accurately measure material for efficiency.
• Maintain quality and housekeeping.
• Ensure production levels are meet daily.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Perform other fabrication duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.

Your Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• If operating a vehicle for company purposes, a valid driver's license is required.
• Experience and/or training in a manufacturing/fabrication/warehouse environment (preferred).
• Able to be medically certified to wear respirator (if required).
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Forklift certified.
• Education High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

This role requires prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Role also requires good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds, depending on the specific job duties.

Compensation Range $13.00 - $30.00
