Job summary

QXO is North America’s largest distributor and installer of insulation; second-largest distributor of roofing products. The Fabricator role involves operating a band saw to fabricate fiberglass, mineral wool, and other insulation materials in a fast-paced, safety-conscious setting.

Starting pay ranges from $16 to $19 per hour with comprehensive benefits and opportunities for growth. Local travel is limited, and candidates must meet the listed qualifications and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18+.
• A valid driver’s license if operating a vehicle for company purposes.
• Experience or training in manufacturing/fabrication/warehouse environment (preferred).
• Able to be medically certified to wear a respirator (if required).
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Forklift certified.
• Education: High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate appropriate equipment.
• Accurately measure material for efficiency.
• Maintain quality and housekeeping.
• Ensure production levels are met daily.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Perform other fabrication duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.

Job Description

Your Responsibilities

As a Fabricator, you will operate a band saw, and other types of saws, to custom fabricate fiberglass, mineral wool, perlite, and many other types of specialized insulation. If you are a reliable team player with a desire to work safely in a fast-paced environment,

• Safely and efficiently operate appropriate equipment.
• Accurately measure material for efficiency.
• Maintain quality and housekeeping.
• Ensure production levels are meet daily.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Perform other fabrication duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.

Your Qualifications

Physical Requirements

This role requires prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Role also requires good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds, depending on the specific job duties.
