Motion is seeking a skilled Fabricator in Portland, Oregon, to perform high-precision tasks such as fabricating, repairing, and modifying tools and mechanical equipment. The role involves interpreting blueprints and operating various fabricating machines.
Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED and have skills in mechanical aptitude, mathematics, and blueprint reading. The position offers an excellent benefits package including healthcare coverage, 401(k), and tuition reimbursement.
Under direct supervision, the Fabricator makes, repairs, adapts, and rectifies tools, dies and other mechanical equipment with high precision specifications and tolerances by interpreting blueprints, consulting specifications and performing operative tests. The Fabricator operates mechanical tools under a supervisor’s guidance and fits and assembles parts to fabricate and repair dies, cutting tools, jigs and related items. The Fabricator modifies dies to conform to engineering changes.
Typically requires a high school diploma or GED.
Requires manual dexterity, arm‑hand steadiness, and multi‑limb coordination. Ability to handle materials up to 100 pounds.
