Job summary

QXO in Port Allen, LA is seeking a Fabricator to operate saws and fabricate fiberglass and mineral wool insulation. You will measure materials, maintain quality, and follow safety rules in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must be 18+ years old with a valid driver's license if operating a vehicle.
• Experience in manufacturing, fabrication or warehouse environments preferred.
• Must be medically able to wear a respirator (if required).
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Forklift certification is a plus.
• Education: High school diploma or GED.

• Safely and efficiently operate a band saw and other saws to fabricate insulation materials.
• Accurately measure material for efficiency.
• Maintain quality and housekeeping standards.
• Ensure production levels are met daily.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Perform other fabrication duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Your Responsibilities

As a Fabricator, you will operate a band saw, and other types of saws, to custom fabricate fiberglass, mineral wool, perlite, and many other types of specialized insulation.

• Safely and efficiently operate appropriate equipment.
• Accurately measure material for efficiency.
• Maintain quality and housekeeping.
• Ensure production levels are meet daily.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Perform other fabrication duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.

Your Qualifications

Minimum of 18 years of age. If operating a vehicle for company purposes, a valid driver's license is required. Experience and/or training in a manufacturing/fabrication/warehouse environment (preferred). Able to be medically certified to wear respirator (if required). Basic computer skills (preferred). Forklift certified.

Education High school diploma or GED required.

Compensation Range

Compensation Range $13.00 - $30.00 To comply with Pay Transparency laws, employers must disclose an annual salary range. Actual offers depend on factors such as location, experience, skills, and market data. This position may also offer variable compensation.
