Job summary

Distribution International is hiring a Fabricator to operate band saws and other equipment for custom fabrication of fiberglass, mineral wool, perlite and related insulation products. You will work safely in a fast-paced environment and help meet daily production targets.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least 18 years old, and may require respirator certification and forklift credentials. Basic computer skills and prior fabrication experience are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum age 18 and ability to drive if needed.
• Experience or training in manufacturing/fabrication/warehouse preferred.
• Respirator fit testing/medical certification may be required.
• Forklift certification is a plus and basic computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate band saw and other saws to fabricate insulation materials.
• Measure materials accurately for production efficiency.
• Maintain quality and housekeeping in the work area.
• Meet daily production targets and follow all safety requirements.
• Perform additional fabrication duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Description

Your Responsibilities

As a Fabricator, you will operate a band saw, and other types of saws, to custom fabricate fiberglass, mineral wool, perlite, and many other types of specialized insulation. If you are a reliable team player with a desire to work safely in a fast-paced environment, then we want you to APPLY NOW!

• Safely and efficiently operate appropriate equipment.
• Accurately measure material for efficiency.
• Maintain quality and housekeeping.
• Ensure production levels are met daily.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Perform other fabrication duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibility as assigned.

Your Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• If operating a vehicle for company purposes, a valid driver's license is required.
• Experience and/or training in a manufacturing/fabrication/warehouse environment (preferred).
• Able to be medically certified to wear respirator (if required).
• Basic computer skills (preferred).
• Forklift certified.

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

Compensation Range

$13.00 - $30.00
