Job summary

Distribution International, a leader in insulation and building materials, seeks a Fabricator to operate band saws and other saws to fabricate fiberglass, mineral wool, perlite, and other insulation materials in a fast-paced, safety-conscious setting.

You will measure materials, maintain quality, and support daily production targets while upholding strict safety standards. Prior fabrication or warehouse experience and forklift certification are advantageous.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license if operating a vehicle for company purposes.
• Experience and/or training in a manufacturing/fabrication/warehouse environment preferred.
• Able to be medically certified to wear respirator if required.
• Forklift certification.
• Basic computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate appropriate equipment.
• Accurately measure material for efficiency.
• Maintain quality and housekeeping.
• Ensure production levels are met daily.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Perform other fabrication duties as assigned by supervisor.

Your Responsibilities

As a Fabricator, you will operate a band saw, and other types of saws, to custom fabricate fiberglass, mineral wool, perlite, and many other types of specialized insulation. If you are a reliable team player with a desire to work safely in a fast-paced environment,

• Safely and efficiently operate appropriate equipment.
• Accurately measure material for efficiency.
• Maintain quality and housekeeping.
• Ensure production levels are meet daily.
• Comply with all safety requirements.
• Perform other fabrication duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Any other duty, task, or responsibilities as assigned.

Your Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 years of age.

Physical Requirements

This role requires prolonged standing and repetitive motions, including bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling. Role also requires good hand-eye coordination, hand dexterity, and physical strength. The position involves lifting up to 50 pounds, depending on the specific job duties.

Compensation Range

$13.00 - $30.00
