Job Overview:

PRATT Industries is seeking a skilled Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The Fabricator will be responsible for cutting, shaping, and assembling metal components used in the production of trailers. The ideal candidate will have experience with various fabrication techniques, including welding, machining, and assembly, ensuring all parts meet PRATT’s high standards for durability and precision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fabricate metal components according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders.
  • Cut, shape, and assemble materials using hand tools, power tools, and specialized machinery.
  • Perform welding, grinding, and finishing tasks to ensure parts are precise and meet quality specifications.
  • Operate machinery such as saws, drills, presses, and CNC equipment for the fabrication of trailer parts.
  • Inspect and measure fabricated parts to ensure conformance to specifications and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following all safety protocols and using personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Troubleshoot fabrication issues and make necessary adjustments to machinery or materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of materials used and time spent on each task.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in fabrication preferred.
  • Proven experience as a fabricator in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of fabrication techniques, including welding, cutting, and machining.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication machinery.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials and work in a physically demanding environment.
