Job summary

Cutting Edge Countertops, Inc. is seeking a Fabricator for the 1st shift in Bryan, OH. You will fabricate countertops using hand tools and basic CNC operations, following shop drawings and completing assemblies to spec.

The role requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs, stand for long hours, and work with attention to detail. We offer a full-time schedule (5:00 AM–3:30 PM, Monday–Thursday) with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Ability to read shop drawings and schematics.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs and stand for long periods.
• 1–3 years fabrication experience preferred or related trades.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Good physical dexterity and eye/hand coordination.

Responsibilities

• Operate sanders, saws, routers to fabricate countertops.
• Cut, assemble to size, apply build-up and banding.
• Install sinks, glue laminate, finish backsplashes.
• Perform basic CNC machine operations and maintain work area.
• Ensure quality control and safety compliance.

Fabricator - LES

Bryan, OH

Countertop Fabricator Full Time L.E. Smith, a subsidiary of Cutting Edge Countertops, has been a manufacturer and distributor of high-quality countertops and surfaces since 1950. A lot has changed over the decades, but our commitment to our clients has never wavered. L.E. Smith is looking for a 1ST Shift Fabricator 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM Monday through Thursday. A Fabricator plays a vital role in the success of our business; you will work with a team to fabricate countertops using various hand tools, such as routers, sanders, pneumatic staple guns, and hand files. Responsibilities:

• Operating sanders, miter saws, table saw, and routers
• Cutting and assembling countertops to specified sizes
• Cutting and applying build-up
• Banding countertops
• Fabrication of applied edge tops
• Installation of sinks into countertops
• Gluing and laying laminate
• Cutting and finishing backsplashes.
• Applying adhesive and silicone for solid surface tops
• Filing/sanding and cleaning tops for final quality check
• Basic CNC Machine operation
• Cleaning and maintaining work areas

Requirements of the Role:

• Ability to lift and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
• The ability to stand/walk for a minimum of 9 hours.
• Must have good vision, color vision, hearing, speaking, and finger dexterity skills.
• Ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, climb, kneel, reach, and push.
• Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and perform mathematical calculations.
• Ability to read prints, a tape measure, and operate hand tools.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years fabrication experience desired, or those with experience in detail focused trades (finished carpentry, auto repair) or time spent playing music or producing art do well in this role!
• May require moving material up to 70 lbs.
• Requires good physical dexterity, as well as eye/hand coordination to operate tools.
• High School diploma or GED
