Job summary

Responsibilities

• Lifts, positions, and removes workpieces from machine areas to assist in fitting and welding.
• Obtains information from blue prints/drawings and marks reference points.
• Reads and comprehends standard and metric tape measures.
• Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work in process by hand or cart.
• Prepares workpieces for moving with straps or grappling equipment.
• Cleans and prepares metal for fabrication, welding, or painting.
• Paints fabricated items and performs inspection/troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintains clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
