Job summary

TAIT is seeking a Mechanical Fabricator to weld, assemble, and repair TAIT products. The role requires MIG, TIG, or FCAW knowledge and involves reading blueprints, selecting correct materials, and delivering a finished product to clients on time.

You will work in a fast-paced environment supporting live events with precision and care. Responsibilities include interpreting drawings, maintaining tolerances, conducting quality checks, and safely handling tools and equipment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of welding techniques.
• Fabrication and mechanical assembly experience.
• Basic knowledge of welding symbols.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Knowledge of rigging equipment a plus.
• Ability to learn TAIT business software (Epicor, Slack, Box).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexibility with work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Read and understand blueprints, drawings.
• Ensure correct material/products are used in the project.
• Evaluate the quality of materials, parts, and equipment before fabrication.
• Adhere to fabrication and assembly techniques.
• Utilize general fabrication tools safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate dimensional tolerances and specifications.
• Conduct quality checks at completion and report concerns.
• Maintain traceability by reporting modifications.
• Safely handle materials and lifting equipment.
• Monitor tools for breakage and wear; report issues.
• Understand fabrication processes and materials produced.
• Assist with other tasks as needed.
