Responsibilities

• Loads, stacks, and transports stock, tools, dies, and work in process by hand or cart.
• Prepares workpieces for moving with straps or grappling equipment.
• Cleans and prepares metal for fabrication, welding, or painting.
• Paints fabricated items and performs inspection/troubleshooting as needed.
• Maintains clean work area, machines, tools, and equipment.

ATTC Manufacturing, a Tier 2 automotive supplier, Established in 2000, ATTC specializes in machining brake drums, brake rotors, steering knuckles, carriers, and differential cases.

Summary:

Complete work in fabrication of structural or sheet metal products by performing the following duties.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Lifts, positions, and removes workpieces from machine areas to assist in fitting and welding.-
• Obtains information from blue prints/drawings then uses tape and marks reference points –
• Reads and comprehends standard and metric tape measures.

• Attaches straps or grappling equipment to workpieces to prepare workpiece for moving by fork truck or tugger.
• Cleans and scrapes metal preparatory to fabricating, welding, or painting.
• Paints fabricated items.
• Troubleshoots fabricated items in order to fix or repair once worn.
• Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
• Performs other routine duties.

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
