Klöckner & Co SE is seeking a Fabrication Fitter/Welder to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on completing welding tasks on customer fabrication orders, maintaining safety and productivity, and following company protocols.

You will interpret drawings, set up welding equipment, and ensure parts meet specifications through visual inspection and measurements. Responsibilities include preparing surfaces, selecting torches and filler rods, and monitoring processes to prevent defects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of industrial fabrication welding experience; ability to pass a weld test may be required.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and job specifications.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with welding tools and equipment.
• High School diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred.
• Careful attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Weld on components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions using SMAW and GMAW.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and hand tools.
• Lay out, position, align, and secure parts before welding.
• Inspect workpieces and measure to meet specifications.
• Prepare surfaces and select torches, tips, and filler rods as needed.
• Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, or distortion.
• Read engineering drawings and work orders to plan welding tasks.
• Perform other related tasks to support fabrication goals.
