Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of industrial fabrication welding experience.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints and job specifications.
• Basic computer skills and familiarity with welding tools and equipment.
• High School diploma or GED required; vocational school or related on-the-job experience preferred.
• Careful attention to detail and thoroughness in completing tasks.
• Reliable and responsible with a strong commitment to fulfilling obligations.
• Flexible and adaptable to changing work conditions and tasks.
• Capable of working independently and managing tasks effectively.
• Must pass a physical examination for vision, hearing, and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate hand and power tools used in welding.
• Perform welding on components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
• Adhere to safety practices and use safety equipment.
• Lay out, position, and secure parts before welding.
• Inspect and measure workpieces to meet specifications.
• Prepare surfaces and select appropriate torches, tips, filler rods, and flux.
• Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating or distortion.
• Analyze drawings and material safety data sheets to plan welding operations.
