Job summary

Holman is seeking a 1st shift Fabricator in Bartlett, IL to weld, fabricate, and assemble components per blueprints. You will operate MIG/TIG equipment, inspect welds, and maintain a safe, efficient work area while meeting tight production schedules.

The role requires 3–5 years of welding experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and ability to read prints. AWS certification preferred; lifting up to 75 pounds; pass background checks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a vocational/technical welding program or equivalent hands-on experience.
• AWS certification preferred.
• 3–5 years of welding experience in a fabrication environment.
• Ability to read and work from blueprints (interpret weld symbols).
• Strong MIG welding in steel and aluminum; TIG welding experience preferred.
• Flux core experience a plus.
• Experience with cutting, drilling, grinding, and general fabrication tools.
• Ability to visualize finished assemblies prior to welding.
• Must pass a physical, drug test, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate components using cutting, MIG and TIG welding, drilling, and related processes to complete assigned projects.
• Read blueprints and weld symbols to ensure components meet customer requirements.
• Measure, square, and fit weldments during production.
• Set up welding machines for various material types and thicknesses to produce quality welds.
• Inspect finished welds and components to meet specifications and quality standards.
• Follow safety standards and maintain a clean work area.
• Collaborate with supervisors and team members to meet timelines.
• Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment and report issues.
