Job summary

Holman is seeking a 1st shift Fabricator in Bartlett, IL to weld and fabricate components, read blueprints, and ensure parts meet specifications. You will work with engineers and supervisors to hit project timelines and quality targets.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years welding experience with MIG/TIG capabilities, reads weld symbols, and can lift up to 75 pounds. Holman offers competitive wages and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; welding program preferred.
• 3–5 years welding experience in fabrication.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols.
• Strong MIG welding on steel and aluminum; TIG experience preferred.
• Flux core experience a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds; pass drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate components using cutting, MIG and TIG welding, drilling, and related processes to complete assigned projects.
• Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and written specifications to ensure components meet customer requirements.
• Measure, square, and fit weldments during production; set up welding machines for various material types.
• Inspect completed welds and fabricated components to ensure they meet specifications and quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area and follow safety standards.
• Track materials used, work completed, and hours worked; provide progress updates as needed.
