Zusammenfassung

NEXTAFF in Long Beach, MS is seeking a Fabrication Shop Helper to support skilled pipefitters, welders and sheet metal mechanics. This full-time, non-exempt role involves material staging, basic tool use, and keeping the work area clean and safe.

You will assist with loading/unloading parts, operate basic shop equipment, and follow blueprints and production instructions. Candidates should be reliable, with 1–2 years in a construction or heavy industrial shop and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifikationen

High school diploma or GED required.
1–2 years in construction, manufacturing, or heavy industrial shop experience.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long shifts.

Aufgaben

Material Handling: Load, unload, and distribute raw metals, pipe spools, and sheet metal components.
Shop Support: Assist skilled pipefitters, welders, and sheet metal mechanics with assembly prep.
Equipment Tending: Operate basic shop equipment and hand tools; transport items using pallet jacks or cranes if certified.
Quality & Blueprint Following: Read basic production instructions and follow workflow layouts.
Housekeeping & Safety: Maintain a clean, safe work area and comply with OSHA PPE requirements.
