Valmont Group is seeking a Fabrication Technician to support the Global Engineered Manufacturing Solutions (GEMS) team. The role fabricates components and assemblies, reads blueprints, and performs welding and rigging tasks in shop and field settings.

Occasional international travel and travel up to 25% are required. Excellent welding skills and blueprint interpretation are essential, along with the ability to operate forklifts and scissor lifts.

Competenze

• Ability to pass demonstration and knowledge test related to mechanical knowledge and welding.
• Ability to safely learn to operate saws, iron workers, shears, cutting torches, drill presses, lathes, mills, and brake presses.

Mansioni

• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and drawings to meet project specs.
• Fabricate components and assemblies from metals, plastics, and composites.
• Perform welding tasks (GMAW, GTAW, SMAW) to required standards.
• Rig and move heavy loads safely using cranes and hoists.
• Inspect and maintain tools and equipment for reliability.
• Travel domestically and internationally up to 25% for periods up to two weeks.
