Job summary

ProMach in Alexandria, VA is seeking skilled fabricators to operate saws and perform deburring, drilling and tapping, and related sheet metal work. Must be forklift and crane certified and able to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Experience operating saws, deburring, drilling and tapping.
• Forklift and crane certification preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Saw operation and sheet metal fabrication including bend allowances.
• Laser or water jet knowledge.
• Press brake operation with minimal supervision.
• Welding and machining of parts.
• Assembly processes and machine maintenance.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints.
• Produce parts to meet BEC standards.
• Know proper tooling and ensure quality.
• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Must be capable of saw operation, deburring, drilling and tapping holes, drill press operation, working knowledge of laser and waterjet. Must be able to be forklift and crane certified.

• Capable of the following processes:

• Saw operation.

• Sheet metal fabrication to include calculating bend allowances for cut size and hole location.

• Working knowledge of laser or water jet.

• Press brake operation with minimal supervision.

• Welding.

• Machining of parts.

• Assembly processes.

• Machine maintenance.

• Capable of reading and interpreting blue prints.

• Produce parts to meet BEC standards in an acceptable amount of time.

• Knows proper tooling for the job.

• Quality orientated.

• Other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
